My Pictorial of Yesterday

I was sitting in my bed. Cold. Bored of reading. Watching the walls close in. When I get this picture:
It brightened my mood for a moment before I realized that he was OUT! He was OUTSIDE OF THE DORMS AND HIS ICE PRISON!
while I was doing this:
And while Huck Fin is intriguiging... (who am I kidding?!)
and my peppermint tea with creamer was delicious...
and while my Mac was my only device connecting me with the outside world....
I wanted to be out.
I called for my liberation!
Ok, so I just started putting on my warm clothes determined to go outside and walk to United all by myself. I HAD to get out. It wasn't total liberation....just a plea of escape and I had called it for myself.

...then I get a message: "come open your door" :)

Yes, my handsome knight had made it across town to rescue me from the dungeon of my current existence. So I finished bundling and we went walking. We walked for over 2 hours. It was amazing. We walked past houses and wished they had "for rent..CHEAP" signs posted in the yards. We talked about our devotionals, our Sunday School lessons, life, and celebrated the beauty of the ice and snow.

I saw these Crate Myrtles that were the largest I had ever discovered...and I took a picture to document for my mom.

It was one of the best days I've had...possible ever. After Kyle shoved me face-first in the snow...and my hands froze...and we both busted on the ice....we had celebrated a beautiful day with the promise of many more to come.
Please don't be alarmed. That isn't a growth on my face. It's the fleeting signs of fever blisters.
But doesn't he make the picture handsome? ;)
Celebrating life,
Sarah

Are you reading Huck Finn for you or for school? And please, tell me it isn't the new politically correct version...

Definitely reading it for school....and no, it is as un-politically correct as it gets. Which is GREAT with me! In making it fit our now culture we dumb down a piece of literature that was both famous and a fine representation of the issues of that era.

Looks like a fun, frost-filled day!
