Saturday Prayer

Good, morning, Beloved Father. Thank you for the sleep this morning. Thank you that I didn't wake up until 7:30....I needed the rest and You know I could go back to sleep right now. But as I begin this day, I am so overwhelmed. I am faced with so many "to-do's" and I am reminded that I am human and incapable of getting EVERYTHING done. Help me to prioritize, focus, and do every task to Your glory.

As I wedding plan, help me to remember the picture I am painting for the world. Right now all of the decisions seem overwhelming, unnecessary, and bring me that nauseous "ihavesomuchelsetodo" feeling. But God, this is an important time. I have to make these decisions to help my mom, to help my mother-in-law, to help those precious women throwing me showers, and I have to do this for Your glory. Kyle and I know that this wedding isn't about just "getting married." We know that our union is about bringing You glory and advancing Your kingdom. May I work today with that goal in mind. Help my attitude to be sweet, my demeanor to be pleasant, and my heart to work as a servant.

As I try to get in all my school assignments, help me to also work with dilligence and intelligence. I have felt SO DUMB this week. I have felt like I have many desires followed by many classes while I master none of them. Help me to actually learn, glean, and analyze the books I am reading so I can intelligently deconstruct them in class and walk away having mastered what is laid before me. I don't want to just finish--I want to finish well. Just as Paul told Timothy, "Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15)...so may it be with me.

Thank You for Kyle coming back today to help me. Please help us to work with dilligence and get the tasks set before us done--while enjoying the other's company. May we, in all we do, bring YOU glory in our actions and words.

As I crawl out of this warm bed and hit the ground running, please be my focus...be the same for me that You were for the Israelites: "And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:" (Ex. 13:21).

In Your holy name I pray,
Amen
